I have spent the last 9 years as CEO running Telecoms companies in Africa. Before that I was MD of Eircom Multimedia. My particular strengths are in Nurturing new Business, revitalizing old ones and building energetic and empowered teams for both. I’ve spent the past 5 years developing Zantel (part of the Etisalat group) into a well respected company in the African telecoms scene. The Zantel role was essentially to drive a triple-play start-up in very challenging conditions. Before that I was the CEO of Botswana Telecom responsible for the turnaround of that operation. Prior to that I was MD of the Multimedia Division of Eircom in Ireland which supported a range of internet start-up companies. I have now joined forces with one of the Zantel Shareholders, whose shares were bought out by Etisalat, to establish and manage a small venture fund focused on identifying and nurturing Telecom related start- ups in Ireland and Africa.
